MARNYS® Vitamin D 4000 IU provides 100μg (4000 IU) vitamin D in capsules. The vitamin D in MARNYS® Vitamin D 4000 IU is D3 (cholecalciferol) of animal origin (lanolin).
Vitamin D can be obtained from the diet, in which case it is absorbed in the small intestine with the help of bile salts. Vitamin D is mainly stored in the liver, although there are high levels of vitamin D in blood compared to other tissues.
The vitamin D in MARNYS® Vitamin D 4000 IU provides the following properties (EFSA):
