Indications
Tiemonium Methylsulphate is an antispasmodic drug. It reduces muscle spasms of the intestine, biliary system, uterus & urinary bladder. It is indicated for the pain in gastrointestinal, biliary, urinary and gynecological disease such as gastroenteritis, diarrhea, dysentery, biliary colic, enterocolitis, cholecystytis, colonopathies, mild cystitis, & spasmodic dysmenorrhoea.
Presentation:
Xelcom 50 mg Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains 50 mg Tiemonium Methylsulphate INN.
Xelcom 5 mg/2 ml Injection: Each 2 ml ampoule contains 5 mg of Tiemonium
Methylsulphate INN.
Dosage and Administration
Xelcom 50 mg Tablet: Recommended oral dose of Tiemonium Methylsulphate tablet is 2-6 tablets (100-300 mg) daily in divided dosage as required. Xelcom 5 mg/2 ml Injection: Recommended injectable dose is one or two Tiemonium Methylsulphate Injection three times daily, through Intravenous route slowly or Intramuscular route.
Side Effects
Side effect with the use of Tiemonium Methylsulphate tablet is very rare.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Tiemonium Methylsulphate may be used in pregnancy only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio. Tiemonium Methylsulphate may be used in lactating mother only if it is clearly needed by the assessment of risk benefit ratio.
